The delightful and very picturesque village of Catton near Hexham is the location of Struther Farm bed and breakfast. Surrounded by the rolling splendour of the Northumbrian countryside, and just a short distance from the vibrant and cosmopolitan city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Struther Farm is the ideal location from which to discover the beauty and attractions of the most northerly county in England.
The charismatic and charming stone farmhouse is lovingly furnished and delightfully styled, with each of the guest rooms well appointed and with stunning panoramic views.
Naturally all the guest rooms at Struthers Farm have superb en-suite facilities, TV's and a complimentary selection of hot beverages and biscuits to make you comfortable.
The lovely home from home atmosphere continues in the guests TV room and dining room, where breakfast is served, and delicious home cooked evening meals are available by request. Of course a full cooked Northumbrian breakfast is always a favourite with guests, but there are also cereals, fresh fruit and yogurt, as well as plenty of hot toast, fresh coffee and piping hot tea.
There is plenty of safe and secure parking for your vehicles, and a lovely outside seating area in the garden, from which you can fully appreciate the gorgeous Northumbrian countryside.
The very popular racecourse in the historic town of Hexham is just a few minutes away, and guests may also like to discover the Abbey, Hadrian's Wall, Vindolanda, Housesteads, Kielder Forest and reservoir, Kielder Observatory, Newcastle and the Quayside, the World Heritage coastline of Northumberland, Lindisfarne, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Durham, Carlisle, and the many other castles, stately homes and places of interest in the region.
You can stay at Struthers Farm bed and breakfast all year round, and take part in great outdoor sports such as golf, fishing, cycling, horse riding, pony trekking, quad biking, gliding, or enjoy wildlife and bird watching in this fabulous location.
